So I’ve tried numerous times and Face ID just does not work at all with Ray-Ban sunglasses. Thought I would share this with anyone else who has similar sunglasses. Can anyone else confirm the same?

Update: the suggestion below about turning off attention getting on Face ID worked like a charm. Deactivating that feature allowed it to immediately recognize my face with sunglasses on. Thank you!

I have aviators, wayfarers, and Oakley Prizm Golf/Softball and Face ID works with none of them.

I got cheap promo glasses at a charity cook off and it works with those lol

Just be aware that turning off the attention setting is reducing the security of face id, I just lift up my Aviators to face id.

Yeah, if you have a spouse/lover etc. that might do nefarious things with your phone while you sleep, you should not turn this option off.

Works perfectly with my polarized Wayfarers every morning. I have the attention feature on too. Maybe do a re-scan on FID?

What would you have to hide from your significant other. When we had TouchID, we had our fingerprints on each others' phones, and we have the passcodes. With FaceID, we still have passcodes.

Face ID did not recognize me with my Ray Ban style sunglasses. It tried and then asked for my passcode. I entered my passcode, then immediately locked the phone again and tried Face ID again. It worked!

I know that it may never work for some sunglasses, but let it do it's learning before turning off the attention setting. I've got it recognizing me with a toothbrush in my mouth now, lol!!!
