Hi guys,

just went from android back to ios, buying the iPhone XS Max.

When i buy something in app store, it prompts me for password, and afterwards saying something like "there was a problem with biometric approval on this device. Try again later". (its in danish, not sure what the english version would be exactly). i googled like crazy but cant find anything, also not in the apple support forums.

what does that mean, and why cant i use Face ID to purchase stuff on app store? or am i doing it wrong. I have enabled face id in settings to be used on app store.

face id works fine when unlocking the phone.

any hints?

thanks in advance,
soren

Having exact same issue...Face ID for purchases has been allowed and was ok on my previous phone

Mine started to work after 24 hours. Which is super weird. Crossing fingers that yours will do the same.

I have the same problem, toggled on "iTunes & App Store" in the Face ID Settings and my phone still prompts me every time I want to purchase an app to enter my password (iPhone XS). Super annoying...
