Got the new iPhone X and all that jazz...

Trying Face ID in the car home, works in the vertical mount about an arms length away from my face - no problem in low light.

However, place the iPhone into a horizontal dock/mount - tap screen - no unlock...

Not ideal - Just me or has anyone else had similar issues? Find it weird if for example you grab the phone and go to photo/video in landscape straight away.

Face ID does not work in horizontal mode. This is a limitation inherent to the sensor design.

Nightmare... that’s going to be a pain going forward!

I Would say the majority don't unlock their iPhone in horizontal as it is. So I don't see this being a major issue for most, even though it would be nice to have both horizontal and vertical to unlock.
