Every time I go to the macrumors site I get the Face ID icon on the screen. What is it authenticating?

I wasn’t loggin in though nor was I logged in previously. And then when I did log in to post this I had to authenticate again.

I’m getting it too even when I’m already logged in and not interacting with the login fields so keychain shouldn’t be being called on.

I haven't gotten any such thing although I do have two-factor set up for the site, which has to be renewed every 30 days.

Happening to me as well. Not logged in, had to re-authenticate to log in. Happens every few minutes.

Had it happen to me once or twice, can't remember which sites they were (possibly macrumors too)

Was happening to me too, I logged off and back on and it hasn’t done it since
