iPhone 11 Pro Face ID with headwear?

I have an iPhone 11 Pro on order, and I am sure it will be in the instructions when it arrives, but I have never had a Face ID device.

My question is what if you wear a cap half the time? Will it recognize you with and without the cap being worn?

Works fine with headwear. I live in Canada - when it's cold the warm fuzzy hats (aka "toques") come out. Never had an issue.

One thing to note about Face ID - if it doesn't recognize you correctly, it will prompt for your password/PIN. When you enter it, Face ID updates its database with the image it just took, so that it can adjust to changes in your appearance. eg: It might not recognize me with a full beard today, but tomorrow, it will.

You could also set up alternate appearance for example with glasses.

I’ve had my iPhone XS Max and now my 11 Pro Max Face ID work with or Without hats and with or Without glasses. Also it works with or without sunglasses.

Same experience as all the above posters. Except one pair of cheap sunglasses I keep in my work car. Doesn’t work with those unless I turn attention awareness off.
