In the beginning I thought I had forgotten to put a mask on when my iPhone (after the iOS 15.4 update) asked to rescan my face again in order to be able to use Face ID with a mask on, I deleted Face ID and set it again and trying scanning my face with a mask on, but it tells me to keep my face free of stuff, fine, I did the setup but it literally hasn't worked for me more than once, maybe it doesn't work with ffp2 masks?

I see a lot of people saying it works fine for them :/ how is It for you?

Scan your face without wearing the mask. After the scan has completed, test it wearing your mask.

In my case I need to look slightly lower, like the bottom half....
Yes it took me a while to figure this out but even without a mask this is critical particularly if you wear progressive lenses. If I look at the FaceID camera using the lower (readers) half it won’t unlock. The minute I look down at the middle with the screen using the top half of the progressive lens it will unlock.

For me , it works best if you look at the middle or lower part of the screen and give it a bit extra time. I have the 12 mini.
