I must say tonight was the second time I got a face time request when I least wanted to be seen. After just getting home from work, contacts lenses out/glasses on, hair all jacked up, sloppy t-shirt on, i get a call from a guy I work with who wanted to test something on face time. So I had to quickly clean up, turn off the PS3 and look semi-decent. Hard to lie and say I don't have wifi but we need an app that just pretends face time cannot connect or something.

You can turn off Facetime in the settings app...

I know but if the other person knows I have it, and I'm home (meaning there is Wifi), then turning it off doesn't really help. I would have to say "I don't feel like face chatting right now" which is equally anti-social.

You must be a girl.

Just say you're on the John (toilet)

Eh, if it's a coworker and he works at a respectable establishment (which he does), looking at least decent is not uncalled for. Then again, you could always smear some crap on your VGA camera and pretend like you don't know why the picture is so blurry.

Put a piece of tape over the camera and pretend like it is some sort of connection issue. Then he can come post about it here on MacRumors and suddenly everyone will start saying that FaceTime is blacking out for them

Why can't you simply be honest? Say you are exhausted, look a bit of a mess and would like to reschedule FaceTime later or the next day?

I'm female, so yes I have asked the one friend I know with an iP4 also, to FT with me later on or the next day because I was looking messy and very tired lol. :p

1. Answer FaceTime
2. Immediately engage in Death Grip.

problem solved

So that apparently affects WiFi too?

Oh, and why is this even being discussed? Take the call even if you're on the bowl, who cares. They're the ones taking the chance of FaceTime. People think way too much. Can't look great all the time...think less and enjoy life more.
