no it does not work... even know people can see you online they can't reply back to you... it says something like the user is offline... it's been like that since fb 3.0 came out.

I've noticed something kinda odd. I did the contact photo sync and told it not to replace my current contact photos. At first it appeared that it replace all of my contact photos, but actually it didn't. If I look at a contact's info the small photo shows the facebook photo, but when I get a call it uses the original photo. Strange. Kinda seems like they would've ironed that out before releasing it. If you wanna test it, open contacts and edit a contact photo that appears to have come from FB and shouldn't have. It will show the old photo. Choose to save it and the small contact picture will go back to the original.
You mean it doesn't work for you. I have been using the chat feature since 3.0 was released with no problems. I am not seeing any issues with 3.1 either.
In the iPhone settings. It's the same place Facebook has always stored it's settings.

Go into the facebook section of the settings app, theres a "Push Notifications" button in there and you can select what you wanna get pushed.

I am having the same issues. Screen shot pics are not uploading, but normal camera pictures are fine still.
This is a new issue with the 3.1 update.
I hope they fix it, because I enjoy posting randomness from my iPhone screen.

nope, no sounds. nothing like checking your phone after 30 minutes and seeing 10 notifications but without even knowing.
but hey at least it works. 🙂

I'm glad I didn't sync the contacts... sounds like a lot of people are having issues. I think I'll wait for another update or two...

Don't update. I have noticed issues with my newsfeed and photos. I post update shows before other people's updates. notification of folks posting to photos and you can't see the comments in the photo.
Nope. I was SO excited to finally be able to turn of emails from Facebook. But what good does it do me if I'm not able to hear when I receive a notification. Oh well, maybe in a future update...
That's a bit disappointing. It's basically just one way chat, yout can chat to friends but they can't reply! I hope the next updatefixes that, as fb chat is my new msn, and has been ever since it came out.
I've heard positive things about the update from a few friends. I'll install it tonight and give it a run through tomorrow.
Anyone know where I can return to that initial screen, in case I change my mind? It's not in the Settings app.
