Facebook App

Just this morning I was using the Facebook App and when it opens, it doesn't finish loading before it crashes. This happens on the most up to date app as well as an older version. This happens on both.

I am using an iPhone 3G, 8Gig, iOS 3.1.2 (7D11)

How can I fix this issue?

Edit: It has been working fine up until this morning with the most recent version of the App.

Facebook

My wife's 3GS's Facebook started crashing and not starting up. She deleted and tried to redownload. Appstore is showing Face book installed, she can't redownload. Synched to computer to try to delete/install previous version. Still showing installed and can't reinstall, now computer has new version.
DT's setting in.
I'm glad I don't Facebook.
If anyone has a suggestion please post.
