For some reason when I choose Facebook backgrounds and I choose the selector for images or photos it does not show anything. It only shows the gradients. I have looked online and this should display the build in background photos of apple's campus or allow the user to choose and add photos. But for some reason I don't see any photos nor can add any.

I'm on a Macbook Air M4 so it should have full support for this. I have not found any ways to fix this online. Any idea what's going on? Here's what the selector looks like when I try to choose a background image-nothing but gradients. Also I checked /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Portrait.framework/Versions/A/Resources/backgrounds/image and the Apple supplied backgrounds are there.
