Facebook calendar sync. anybody get it to work?

I have logged in to my facebook account, I have calendar sync turned on in settings, but I get nothing appear in my calendar. What I was hoping for was my friends birthdays to be synced to the calendar.

Anybody know how to get this to work?

Huh. I have the opposite problem. I can't get rid of hundreds of birthdays all appearing on my calendar.
