iPhone Facebook dark mode disappeared

I never had dark mode on my iPad but it was on my iPhone for last couple months. A few hours ago I open the app and I'm staring at the the sun. Anyone else impacted? I tried uninstalling the FB app but that didn't work.

Same. It was such a pleasure to not go blind. Where did it go? And why did they, whoever they are, take it there?

Same here. It seriously burns my retinas every time I open the app. It wasn’t a big deal before I had it, but now that I am used to it I can’t use the app anymore. Just wrote a 1 star review because of it. I feel so petty but I’m not dealing with this well.

Ok I thought I was crazy or something. I’m so used to it looking at that white page is killing me. My messenger still has dark mode which is confusing. Any word on what happened?

Nevermind, I found out how, but looks like I don't have the functionality.

I think Dark Mode is being rolled out gradually around the world. In the meantime, you can always use the Accessibility shortcut to invert colors. I do this via triple click of the side button.

I had it for a month or so but it seems to have disappeared and no longer an option for me.

Update: it just came back. Didn’t need to do anything.

Try switching the iOS to light mode! That should trigger the darkmode in FB.

WTF? This worked. I had Facebook dark mode awhile back and then it went back to light mode. The Facebook setting was also gone. I tried deleting and redownloading think that would have fixed. No such luck.

However, changing my iPhone to light mode caused the dark mode option to appear in FB again. What are those engineers at Facecbook doing.
