Facebook for iPad, what do you think?

I just sent this to Facebook.

"The iPad app could be so much better in ease of use. Seriously, after all this time, it's not great.

News feed, profile, and friends all need to be links up beside notifications and messages. I don't know why friend requests is up there, I mean who gets more friend requests then needing to check the news feed. I don't understand, why it's easier to get to your friend requests than your actual friends list. *

You need to be able to get to chat at ANY time, by swiping left. And from chat, you should be able to get to the persons profile.

Come on Facebook, I know you're not Apple, but someone working at Facebook must of realised it takes more steps to get to news feed and friends than friend requests. Do you not test ease of use? The sliding right and left is good, and pinching but quicker access to friends profiles and the news feed would be better."
 
I try to remain positive... that's why I think iPad app is better than iPhone app on our iPads.
 
Positive on both devices. The UI works well on both and notifications are no longer hidden.

Time will tell about it's stability though.
 
M.facebook.com has been updated too.

In fact, I'm going to use m.Facebook.com on my desktop as it doesn't have adverts!

I don't think you realise it's been updated for iPad today.

Anyway, I think it's amazing, but I did just get my iPad today so everything on it is amazing !

If you have RetinaPad, you have to uninstall it. It was making the resolution look like that for me.

Does anyone know why I have to keep logging in after I exit the app and try to go back in a few minutes? Pretty annoying.
 
looks good to me. Just a long time coming. Would like the ability to expand the chat area when you're chatting rather than just the sidebar, much like the messages portion.

Not the case anymore. The new version of Facebook is iPad specific.

And I rarely use Facebook, but it looks good to me thus far. Very twitter-like in the iPad interface. Swipe left and right to access sections.

Yes it does. Retinapad makes the "new iPad version of facebook app" look terrible.

Really? Cause I have a jailbroken iPad2 with retina pad installed and Facebook looks absolutely crystal clear.
The version of Facebook I installed today says that it is for the iPad, not the iPhone. Curious which version you installed?

Thought I read today that they made iOS specific versions of those zynga games like Farmville? Could be wrong, but thought I saw that. I don't think there are links to the games via the Facebook app though??? Still messing around with it.
 
Seems to be a bit messy for me.

Photos don't appear in news feed???

I can't like comments???

Maybe I'm just being thick and just can't figure out how to use it
 
It's great! Goodbye third-party FB-Apps. It's similar to the hp touchpad facebook app and I was very happy with it. So i'm using now the official version.
 
Whenever I try to launch the FB ipad app, the splash screen loads up and then goes back to the springboard.

I think it has to do with the previous FB hack. When the ipad version was hidden in the iphone app.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?
