well if you turn contacts off, and just click 'update contacts' it will add a facebook picture and link to that contact (providing you have an email if they dont have their phone number on fb) only downside is that some of the pictures come out blurry

Only thing i do not like is

you Cannot edit the contact info.

For example, i have a friend (his first name only) , that i have just his cell number in my iPhone, the Facebook info has all his info but does not have his cell phone number, I cannot edit his Facebook info to add his cell number, so i have to keep both contacts...

Hope they fix that...crazy

Facebook integrated into the operating system? Forget it!

I don't want to see a Facebook login button on every damn app I install.

Somebody bring Steve Jobs back to life again to clean up this horrible mess.

I think Jobs wanted Facebook integration back in iOS5 (along with or instead of Twitter), but him and Zuckerberg were not great friends. Remember the iTunes Ping fiasco.

Think, who is your biggest demographic? Young people. What do the very vast majority of young people like to do? Social Network. It only makes sense to add social network integration into the OS to make that easier. Plus, Android had it, so Apple had to catch up. (Settle down, I use both iOS and Android.)

I have no beef with Twitter. I don't like Facebook either way.

Even with Facebook stealing Apple's engineers to build their own failure of a smart phone, Apple will still
integrate them into iOS. Keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer.

I am not really a big fan of integrating "social media" into these phones. All it does is take innovation and put it towards something that's already been done.

If you want social media download their apps. Plain and simple.

Another reason for me to take as much of my info off of my facebook as possible, so people don't have access
