Hey guys,

I'm wondering if I should allow Facebook to interact with my contacts on my iPhone/iPad. What have you guys done? Have you trust Facebook with your contacts?

Thanks!

I believe the integration, as far as your Contacts are concerned, its more of a one-way kind of thing. It pulls your Facebook friends and sticks them into your Contacts list. If they freely display their phone number on their FB page, then their number will be added as well. It might also be used for direct messaging friends from within your Contacts or when posting from NC. I don't think FB is seeing your other friends' phone numbers or anything like that. But I could be wrong. Also, I noticed it also adds your FB friends' birthdays to your calendar.

In hindsight, this is a feature the Android version of the FB app has had for awhile now.

iv got it on at the moment, but have turned off contacts and calendar sharing.

Thanks! But my main question remains: do you guys trust Facebook enough to turn on the contact integration?

I feel like the last man in Issac Asimov's short story: The Last Question, but I refuse to have my mind fused with AC, I mean Facebook.

No I don't trust Facebook and this is the last thing I ever wanted to hear regarding fb integration. I definitely don't want to scroll thru hundreds of people on my contact list that I would never call/text. If I want to contact them that way I'll add them myself thank you.
