facebook ipad app photos

Whenever I load a photo to facebook it just disappears. The upload bar progresses to 100% and I get no error messages, but nobody can see the pic in my newsfeed or elsewhere, and neither can I. Is there a fix for this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I'm new to the iPad and have the Facebook app. When on FB, I just click on the "photos" tab, and it asks where my photo is (I use ones from my albums), and touch send and it appears on the news feed quickly.
