iPhone Facebook Messenger problem! PLEASE HELP!

Hello,

I have this problem and I need to be solved. When i receive a message on FACEBOOK messenger, without reading it, without opening it,(even when the phone is screen locked) automatically it shows to the person who wrote me that I`m being active before 1 minute, but I havent been online since 2-3 hours for example. I dont know how to fix it.



My device is iPhone 6, 128 gb, version 10.3.2 (14F89).



Please help me to fix this problem, because is very annoying and it makes me very nervous.

I deleted it a few times, install it again. Tried to stop chat, tried do deactivate account and than turn it on again, tried to put my phone number, than to delete it, because i readed that it can fix it, but no.

Any other ideas?

Is this the Apple messages app? Settings-Messages-Uncheck Send Read Receipts

Still have no idea what "messanger" you're talking about?
Are you using a 3rd party AppStore messaging app or are you talking about the stock messages app for iMessages and texts?

Perhaps go to your Facebook account using a computer browser and then in settings there log out of all sessions, including messenger, that way when you uninstall and reinstall the app you would need to log into it and maybe that will help. Otherwise, you might have to reach out to Facebook.

Im doing it almost every day, it doesnt help. I deleted both apps (Facebook and Messenger), then install them again, but no.

Its not your phones fault, in general Facebook messenger app behaves like that, even if you are sleeping it will show you as “online” if internet is connected. You can’t do anything with it. I deleted my Facebook account and I’m happy with my decision.
