is Facebook Messenger supposed to work with the LTE watch? My icon is on the watch but I can’t receive messages

There's already an app for messenger but i think due to issues with LTE the apps need to be updated i believe for LTE access. Reason why i say this as cnet did a LTE review and it wouldn't let them access apps like instagram and said it needs to be updated to allow it.
I just get the spinning loading thing on messenger on my watch. I deleted the app from both devices and it worked for a day and no the issue is back. I just removed the app from the phone. The notifications are good enough for now.

Hmm... I have a Series 2 Space Black and FB Messenger has NEVER worked properly, even after deleting the app from the watch and phone several times. I would expect it to not on LTE with the latest watches as well.
On my watch, I can get messenger notifications, if I tap on it, it switches to a screen with several friends and it will slowly sync, minutes to forever. Messenger worked properly with my original Gen. 1 watch a couple years back, until Failbook found it important to update their app every few days and they broke the watch portion of it. The watch app for it certainly kills battery and it is still worthless.
Does this work for anyone?
