Hi,

I know it's not an amazing app or anything but I really like Facebook Notifications. I'm used to it, I had it on my MacBook for the longest time and want it on my new iMac.

Whenever I enter my password I get this:

It stays like this forever until I close the window, which turns the menu back to this:

...and repeat. I click "Login to Facebook" and go through the same thing every time.

There was one weird instance where after accidentally typing the wrong password the first time, I ended up with this:

that is my facebook homepage in the window.

needless to say that didn't end up working either.

Anyway I'd love to get this little thing up and running on my new machine so if you have any idea what to do, please help!

I've restarted, reinstalled, transferred the file from my MacBook where it worked, downloaded from the web again, etc. I've tried every so often for the past month or so but get the same result. :(

I use that too - it kept doing something similar to me the other week but soon sorted itself out. Hopefully yours will do the same - shame really as it's no longer in development...

The application doesn't support Facebook's HTTPS login method, so it's essentially useless now that it's no longer in development.

i disabled https in my account settings... logged into the app, then enabled https in account settings again. seems to be working!

wouldn't have thought to try that, thanks!
