Hey all. I'm new to the forum. Just received my Sport Apple Watch yesterday. I've been searching the other threads for this issue, but can't seem to find anything on it. My issue right now is that Facebook notifications will appear on my Apple Watch, but they do not generate a haptic or sound alert like my other notifications do (mail, FB messenger, etc). Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, is there a way to resolve it? One of the games I play on my iPhone that sends me alerts are doing the same thing. It's kind of frustrating. Thanks!!!

I have gone in and turned off Facebook from my watch, I actually went and took it off as not being an active app. When all my apps uploaded on to the watch I went back in and removed most of them. The only notifications I am getting on the watch is from the Activity App I am trying to figure out why my emails are not coming in with a notification.
But if you do not want the alerts you can turn them off both on your phone, the watch and even in facebook. But i would start with going into your Apple Watch app on your phone and turning it off.

This is not intuitive. Most folks just accept the Mail app's "Mirror my iPhone" setting in the watch app. However, you need to make it custom and turn on "Show Alerts" for every email account.

Anyone have any ideas about the question I asked? LOL I'm getting all the notifications I want, it's just the FB notifications don't audibly notify or provide haptic. Is anyone else having this issue?

I agree that the current notification system for FB is worthless, but it would still be nice to know that I got one. Especially since they don't come up on the phone while I'm wearing the watch. I only know I have a new FB note if I manually check the time.

FB notifications are the same for me: no sound, no tap. Messenger notifications, however, do sound off/tap my wrist. In both cases, however, I still need to use the phone to view them.

As long as it's not just me, I guess I'll live with it. Thanks!

Thanks, did not even realize. So did the Custom set up so now waiting to see if I get notifications. I have both work and personal emails on my phone.

OP: I've been wondering this myself. The pattern I think I have noticed is that notifications for which I have the "sound" toggle turned off on the iPhone (in the iPhone's main Settings > Notifications) don't seem to produce a haptic on the watch, which may or may not be what I want, but that seems to be how it works. At least as far as I can tell... Anyone else have evidence to support or refute this theory?

Facebook notifications do not seem to produce a sound or haptic for me, either. Which is preferable, to be honest. I like getting FB notifications on the watch, but getting dinged and/or tapped every time would be annoying.

Facebook notifications have been broken on my iPhone for a long time, no sound or vibration. When I first got my Apple Watch, Facebook notifications would give me a haptic (and sound if I had that enabled), but after a week or so they stopped. Now they come to the watch without me noticing and end up in the notifications swipe down list. Very frustrating. Not sure how to fix it. Possible its Facebook that's broken. But I do agree they are kind of worthless until the Facebook app comes to the watch.

You guys need to go into the Facebook app settings (in the Facebook app) and turn on sounds for notifications. Then you will get watch taps and sound.

Yes, I did that originally, and they worked fine for a while. But after a week or so it stopped working completely, and I still have sounds turned on in the Facebook settings.
