Pretty sure those can be disabled. Not even sure what any of it sounds like as I have had them disabled for as long as I can remember.The sounds FB messenger makes...make me want to go on a baby slaughtering rampage.
How are they forcing it on you? The iOS Facebook app still has a section for messaging... I've been using that for years because I don't see the point of having a seperate app for Facebook messaging.
Whenever I remove Messenger and click on messages in the Facebook app, it gives me this popup saying something like messages have been moved and makes me download the Messenger app. Pretty much everyone I know with an iPhone has this issue.
