Yes - my wife's new account has 2 factor, and a stronger password than previous.
Apparently I'd convinced her not to give them her phone number, as I figured she would be bombarded with spam calls... so didn't have the 2 factor authentication.
Google and FB often have our phone number not because we have it to them or gave them permission of any kind, but because one of our contacts blithely uploaded their contact app database to FB. There’s no doubt they use it as a key data field as they scrap everything they can from our phones and microphones, even when the app is not in the foreground.
