It doesn't work with my RayBan aviator sunglasses either. So much for "many sunglasses." :(

Does it work with attention off? I’m interested if they actually need your eyes or only need them when checking for attention.

Easy fix -- turn off "require attention for face ID" in faceID & passcode settings. Don't see the point of it anyway. Now faceid works with my RayBan sunglasses on (before it wouldn't).

I’m having the same exact experience with the same exact sunglasses. While it’s not ideal. It hasn’t gotten to the point of annoying for me. But it is strange how other (sun)glasses polarized or not work. It seems just to be the Wayfarers for me.

That really is a weird setting. I guess it’s good if you raise our phone and it lights up but you are not actually looking at it so no one else can see your notifications.

That really is a weird setting.

It's meant for paranoid people that think other people will 1. pick up their phone while they are sleeping; and 2. point it at your sleeping face to unlock (Don't know where these people live that such could be happening -- maybe college dorm hijinks. That's about it. Or a suspicious wife?

I'm not that heavy a sleeper and if someone is holding a phone near me and creeping around, I'll wake up anyway.

And let’s be realistic. The person who would do this would have no issue grabbing your hand for touchID

Awesome. Thanks! Excellent point, it’s not necessary for my use

I could see this in a college dorm.

Kinda crazy because Face ID (w/ attention on) works with my Costa 580 lenses. I thought it’d never work.

Another thing to try is to set up Face ID wearing the glasses. Then take them off and see if it works without them.

So if I️ turn off attention detection then it works. But with that setting on it won’t work with my wayfarers.
