I have updated to iOS 15.1 on my iPhone X and Face ID is no longer available. I got a message saying "Unable to activate FaceID on this iPhone" on the home screen and after doing a hard reset and attempting to reset Face ID i now get "FaceID Is Not Available. Try setting up Face ID later" on the set up screen. I have not had the screen replaced by a third party, so I am at a loose as to what has happened.

I'm hoping someone has a simple answer before I end up wiping and resorting.

I have posted this in a different thread earlier, but realised it was the wrong one. Thanks

Did you replace the Apple battery with a third party one?
I did replace the battery about a year ago. I guess sadly the big clampdown on third-party repairs beyond FaceID is happening.
