FaceID when flat

Anyone figured out a way to get FaceID to work when phone is lying on a flat surface. Is there a particular angle you should use???

it works for me. I made sure i really circled my head when setting up faceID

Re-setup twice but still wont work. For people who wear glasses, did you keep glasses on or off when setting up?

Also - would the fact I have a screen protector on (Belkin) make a difference (e.g some refraction off the edge??)

If the camera is staring directly at a light it appears to muck up FaceID
