Hey guys I have a question. Me and my cousin both have iPhone 4s, both jailbroken and both have my3g. But everytime we use FaceTime with eachother the call only lasts exactly 1 min. It's very weird. Does anyone know the problem. And we have tried it many different. Times and at one point even in the same house and that lasted 58 seconds. It just says FaceTime call failed.

Sometimes when using my3g it lasts a minute or so before freezing - other times it works peferctly well. Wonder if it's something to do with switching cell towers.

You know what? Now that you're mentioned it I tried facetime with both phones over 3G with 3G unrestrictor and it disconnected it us a few times at probably around a minute.
Didnt think of it cause I thought maybe one of us didnt have strong signal.
Im going to test it out again tommorow.
I wonder what would cause this?

That would be great if you tested it out. Thanks.

I am having the same problems. Can't hold a facetime over 3G call for more than a few minutes.

Tried 3 calls today in 3 different locations using my3g and all three lasted about a minute then the call would freeze and drop.

I had a 35 minute facetime convo over 3G (via My3G) with my friend at Best Buy yesterday. Was in line waiting to get my IS fixed. Worked perfectly

It seems the issue is when making facetime calls 3G to 3G.

When I make a facetime call 3G to WiFi, it will keep a connection. But if the facetime call is 3G to 3G, it will drop at about a minute.

I've made 10-15min FT calls from 3G-to-3G using 3G Unrestrictor, however, we were both in cars, and it would drop out for several seconds at a time every few minutes. I just chalked it up to switching cell phone towers.

Well that's understandable. But its annoying when the whole call fails and you gotta connect every minute.

I'm also having the same problem from multiple locations. Both iPhones are jailbroken using 3G Unrestrictor. The other iPhone is always on 3G and I'm usually on wifi. It seems if I toggle off 3G unrestrictor using SBSettings when on wifi it works fine. Still testing.

Just tried it again with 3G Unrestrictor turned off using SBSettings and the call stayed connected just fine. I was on wifi and other caller on 3G using 3G Unrestrictor.

Disabled 3G Unrestrictor in SBsettings and facetimed wifi to wifi. The first time it disconnected after exactly 1 minute. Received another FaceTime request from the same person and had a 23 minute conversation with no issue.

So whats the verdict?
If you're on wifi turn off 3G unrestrictor thru sbsettings and it will work fine when the other person is on 3G?
What about facetime with both iphones on 3G? No problems?

I'll keep testing in different situations. Keep posting your results here so we can narrow it down.
