On wifi(my3G on) to wifi(normal device): 35 minute call, 10 min call, 5 min call, no problems.

On 3G(my3G) received call from friend in Apple Store on demo device: dropped after one minute.

I wonder if the new app facebreak would fix our problems?

Got the same problem. I got my hands on 5 different jailbroken iPhones and tried every combination possible to test this out and on 3G every one of them dropped after 1 minute. If either phone was on wi-fi it worked fine. Hopefully someone can identify a fix for this. It was this function alone which put me over the top to upgrade from the 3GS.

Fixed freezing

For those with freezing video at one minute, reset your network settings. Everyone in my family (4 phones) was having the freezing issue. Once I reset the network settings, the calls have been working fine. We,ve made about 6 test calls between 3 and 10 minutes each. Hopefully this works for everyone. Let me know.

Some phones are using face break while others are using my3g. This fixed both face time apps. I would assume it would also work for 3G unrestrictor.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

That fixed it!!! You're awesome!!!

I tested it immediately before resetting and confirmed that it would run for 1 minute and then stop. Then i applied the reset to both phones and tried again and it worked perfectly for about 3 minutes before i manually shut it down.

Thanks again!!!!

Glad to hear we found a solution. So Iam guessing both ends need to reset the settings?

Good question. I should have tried it one at a time but in my case both phones would always disconnect at the 1 minute mark no matter who they called. So i just figured i'd reset both. I tested it with 5 different phones and it wouldn't stay connected until after the reset was done. I'll test again later tonight and see if the reset holds up or if i continually need to reset.

Glad to hear that this seems to be working for everyone. I'll test tomorrow to see if network settings need to be reset on both phones.

heres a story......speaking of facetime over 3G...ok so i was at the apple store messing around with the iphone 4 demos i tried the 3G facetime on mine to a demo one and works great..well im in san diego and 3G is pretty darn fast..well anyways silly me forgot to clear the recent calls and i when to work the next day playing on my iphone 4 due to boredness a bunch of people playing with the demo were calling me..hahaha was funny had to go back and delete my number from the demo iphone 4 at the apple store..its close to my work like 6 min drive:D but over all works fine with me..just depends on your signal/locations..

i did chat with this cute girl for a sec :D her name was ''WTF'' first thing that came out her mouth:eek:

Do you need to do the "reset network" everytime prior to use facetime on 3G?

I want to know this too!

I was able to have a 3G to 3G Facetime session lasting several minutes after both phones had the network reset.

This morning I was not able to have a Facetime session lasting over a minute doing 3G to Wifi even with my phone having 5 bars of 3G signal.

I just did a 10 min call over 3G....I used FaceBreak and the hack to lower the Frames Per Second

before I couldnt even get a call to go thru over 3G, but lowering the Frames Per Seconds seems to do the trick

Will resettting your network settings make the commcenter hack, which allows your to natively tether, no longer work?
