facetime badges problem

Four Facetime badges kept showing up on the icon on IOS 26.5
I tried many ways to remove them —no luck.

I thought installing 26.5.2 would have fixed it —but it didn't.

Any suggestions?

Have you received any FT calls since the badge showed up? I'm thinking a new incoming call would probably clear that.

Yes, I have received more than 3 Facetime calls since, and the badge number increases each time; however, when I go into the app then out again—the number returns to 4 badges.
