FaceTime button replaces hold button?

    Sorry if this has been covered but when watching a facetime demo I noticed that the button has replaced the hold button. Has apple deemed the hold function redundant? or am I missing something

    Yes, it replaced the hold button. Mute does the same thing.

    wouldnt mute be used to mute your voice, while you can still hear the other person if they are talking?

    You can mute/volume I guess. I wonder is that button only shows up if the have a iPhone 4.

    yes it will only be in iphone 4 as gm 4.0 have the mute button.

    Not quite the same thing, but close enough to eliminate it.


    HOLD - kills mic and speaker
    MUTE - kills mic only


    I've always thought there was a little redundancy in there too.

    I'd rather keep hold and get rid of mute, but I guess there is no practical difference. :rolleyes:
