Facetime for Mac question

hey all, i've set up an account for facetime with my apple id. when i designate which email to be used for calls, it doesn't let me use the one from my apple id. I have to use another one. So to be clear, for facetime one must have two email addresses? That doesnt seem right.

I have been able to use my Apple ID, but I have an iPhone 3GS, so no FaceTime on there, and I am using a beta version on my MacBook

But I believe you can use your Apple ID. Anyone else confirm this?

Ido indeed use my apple id on my mac and iPhone. Sorry I can't shed any light on your issue, but hope this helps clarify you are having a problem of some sort ..
