FaceTime HD camera resolution on 2017 iMac 5k?

I have a late 2014 5k iMac, 27" i7. I believe the FaceTime HD camera resolution on that is 720p.

I seem to recall reading that the 2017 5k iMac 27" has a FaceTime HD camera with resolution 1080p.

Is that right?

No, I believe the new iMac has the same 720p camera. While Apple doesn't list the resolution of the camera on the 2017 iMac, referring to it as a "FaceTime HD camera," they make a point of referring to the camera in the forthcoming iMac Pro as a "1080p FaceTime HD camera."
