Standard Apple ear plugs with iOS 8.1.2. And as I said, it is working in other applications as intended.

Does it work with phone calls?

No. It reverts to stereo. I hope it is not a feature. It would not make sense.

Interesting. Maybe it's a glitch with calling of all kinds. Or maybe they thought you'd want stereo? idk
