Apple forced me to enable app-specific passwords when I tried to sign into Messages and FaceTime with my new Retina MacBook.

Unfortunately, it keeps saying invalid password when I try to enter the password generated for them.

Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Thanks!

Finally got the app specific password to work (was using my appleid for itunes instead of the one for iCloud).

Now when I reboot the computer, I get a prompt for a password. It will never take the password, and when I hit cancel, Messages and FaceTime are both logged in.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the prompts?
