So I have had my iPhone 4 jailbroken ever since it came out on 4.0.1 and facetime never seems to work ever since then. I knew there was a problem when it first came out, but I thought it got fixed, but nothing worked. Is there a way I can get this working? Thanks!

(Btw I can't restore it back I didn't save the blobs in time!)

It got fixed but you had to redo the jailbreak to fix it. Since you don't have your shsh for 4.0.1 on file your SOL until something for 4.1 comes out.

So if I got to the JailbreakMe site again and redownload that, it won't fix it? I have to start fresh with a restore?

What exactly is your issue with facetime?

What have you tried so far as troubleshooting?
Network reset? restore from backup? Re-jailbreak? disable/re-enable FaceTime on Settings?

Some more details so we can guide you to the right path!

The original Issue was initially solve by restoring from backup, so if that is your case, you should be able to get it, however I am not sure what your issue is since all you said was "facetime not working", the original issue was that Facetime option was "gone"

My FaceTime stopped working and each time it would fail. I tried tons of things, only way to fix was to restore.

yeah my Facetime doesn't work either. It worked once, but after that...
    Tried:
    reset network settings/ all settigns
    I already had iphonedelivery installed
    Tried hard reset aswell.

Wanted to try restoring to 4.0.1 again, but apple stopped signing them? I DID save my **** with tiny umbrella, but don't really know how to use that to be able to restore it again to 4.0.1.

But yeah, facetime doesnt work here either... Already lost quite some money on sending those activation sms'es. BUT: it keeps saying taht my phone nr is shared with facetime( when facetime is checked off :s)

I am tempted to feel some compassion for these posters whose phone features don't work but:
The fix for Jailbreak.me interrupting FaceTime and MMS was announced just hours after Jailbreak.me went live. Why wait so long to fix it ?
Knowing there were issues with your jailbroken iPhone 4, why not save hashes ?
For those with hashes saved, restoring using TinyUmbrella is so simple, even a caveman could do it.

Reading the posts here speaks volumes that these issues are just not really all that important to the posters, otherwise they could have easily been rectified for the over two weeks when Apple continued to sign firmware 4.0.1

That said, good luck to those with these issues. Nothing will ever replace the importance of reading and research and both are crucial to having a problem free jailbreak and staying jailbroken.

I was having the same problem this morning. I tried to facetime and it would say it was unavailable, even with both iPhones on the same wi-fi network. So I deselected facetime from the the 3G unrestrictor and it work flawlessly.

Yep, let me tell you about it.
Im never installing it again untill they update it to stop messing up facetime.
Everything was working perfect untill I installed 3Gunrestrictor and then facetime would fail each time. Removed it, reset network, installed the facetime fix that reset message delivery, every single thing over 10 times trying different steps, resets, reboots you name it.
It would not let me facetime thru wifi never mind 3G.
I restored and then installed facebreak and now everything works fine and facetime is functioning perfect thru 3G and wifi.
