    All,

Just installed IOS 5 on my iphone 4. Currently I dont have any service on my iphone 4(IOS 5 and baseband 1.59). waiting for ultrasnow unlock. One thing I noticed though, is that I have Facetime icon in my contacts and in the Settins section, I have option to choose which ID I want to use for facetime. I have an ipad 2 which works on my email for facetime. So I was using that on my iphone also.

But problem is, all the facetimecalls fail immediately. It doesnt even try to connect. I tried to facetime my bro, I can do it from my ipad 2, but not from iphone 4. Was anyone able to get it to work? I mean Apple wouldnt give me the option in settings tab, if I cannot use it.

I dont think Apple made it so FaceTime worked on the iPhone without active service, it looks for a number to activate and not an email address
