Hi all. I'm a new iMac user and I'm having a small problem with Facetime.

I can reach my son using FT from my iMac, calling him on his iPod touch, but we can't connect in the opposite direction, from his iPod to my Mac. I can see he's trying to reach me as I get the green icon at the bottom for a fraction of a second, but it quickly dissapears.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Easy things to do:

First make sure he is always on Wi-Fi.

Turn off his iPod Touch and turn it back on.
Exit out of all applications (double tap Home button)

If these don't fix it reinstall iOS on the iPod Touch might be a faulty file.
