I have a question. Will facetime use up Minutes or is like Ichat and not use minutes???
Thanks

Dear God. How many threads are there about this? I did a search and literally lost count.

It won't use your minutes.

And you do not need to be in a current call to initiate a facetime chat. It actually says this on Apple's site.

no. facetime aka"mobile chat roulette" aka" sexting with hd video" does not use up minutes since it runs thru wifi.

What worries me would be that, if I know someone with an international number, I would have to initiate the international call before I can initiate FaceTime.

That means AT&T still got me for 1 international minute.

Since AT&T supports both data and voice at the same time. Why not use the voice channel to handle all the audio, and use the data channel to transmit the video. Therefore, it is not true VOIP, but a hybrid version of it.

That would probably not sync well. Ever see Godzilla?

Facetime will not impact your cellular voice minutes.

All facechats will, however, be seen by all of your mothers.

Also, while not impacting your minutes, it may impact your reputation/dignity if you use it at starbucks and in other public settings.

Can't wait to see all the jackoffs walking around showing everything to people. "This is my Latte. This is my view of the bathroom. This is the "barista" who calls my drink 'EXpresso'" ...ETC...

hahaha.... I actually saw a dude the other night bring his iPad into the BAR. Not a cafe or even a restaurant, a straight up BAR.

Anyone notice how the little inset pictures are mirror images of the big ones?

Probably just a marketing glitch...

Nope! Ever notice when you look in the mirror, it's mirrored? A camera works the same way! Hehehe. :p
