Factory plastic screen cover

I just got my new ipad a few days ago and it is my first apple product. My question is, is there a factory screen protector that comes on it? I took plastic off the back but don't remember it was on the front. It feels like there is a cover on it and I can not feel an indentation where the the front facing camera is. But I can't find a end to pull it off. Any help would be appreciated

No, there is no factory screen protector. You can't feel the front facing camera cuz its underneath the glass.

There is an oleophobic (sp?) coating that's supposed to limit fingerprints but it doesn't do too much.
