iPad Factory reset iPad Pro 12.9” running iOS 14

Been having a few issues with apps randomly closing so want to factory reset my iPad.

I followed the instruction, connected it to my iMac, it told me it would restore it to the latest ios13 release.

I left it over night and in the morning it was still on iOS 14.

Where am I going wrong?

I did a backup prior to updating to the developer beta, but don’t want to use that, just want to start from factory.

I also have a windows pc, would i get better results from that?

I plan on doing the same to my iPhone, just want to get it right before i mess up my daily driver.

Possibly. You might as well try it with your PC.

UPDATE:

Used my Windows PC and factory reset it to iOS 13.6.1

Strange that my iMac couldn’t do it 😂
