I bought the iphone 12;from my ex employer. The phone is factory reset but the remote agent still comes up on setup. I called my previous employer And they were no help. I know theirs a way to remove the remote management with the Anyunlock program or other ones but once thats completed will the phone still show in the companies mobile client. And if it does show up will ot just show a unactive?

There's another thread about a similar issue somewhere here. The general consensus was that the phone has to be sent back to the company that installed the MDM so that their IT Dept can remove it.
If they won't then you've got a brick.

The OP needs to contact their purchasing or IT dept unenroll and deactivate the serial number of the phone in order to remove it from the DEP & MDM servers.

Our organization has 100% all Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV) enroll automatically in Apple's DEP server and our 3rd party MDM provider synchronizes with Apple's server to provide enrollment.

We have people who buy the device from us and then the serial numbers are removed from the DEP server, wait 24 hours to update (sync) with our MDM, then erase the devie and voila - no more corporate registration required.
