I want to reset my macbook to it's original factory settings. Everywhere I look online, it says that i need the original startup disks. I don't have those disks because I bought the macbook from ebay and the disks weren't included. Is there any way I can do this without the disks? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe. What year/model Macbook do you have and what version OS are you on? You might be able to go to the Apple Store app if you have at least 10.6.8 and just buy Mountain Lion for $20. Then you can make yourself a USB key installer from Mountain Lion and use that for a clean install.
