I thought this could be accomplished by going to Settings, General, Reset and running through all of the resets and erasures, but that does not seem to be doing the trick. For instance, it still contains the iPhone's identity (the name you give it) and it continues to maintain the App Store/iTunes identity information (all be it without the password).
