Hi everyone,

I bought a factory unlocked iPhone from the Apple Store. One puzzling thing I noticed is that in the settings info page (where it shows serial and IMEI numbers), it says ATT.

Am I correct in that it just lists that because the SIM card the Apple store used to activate the phone in-store was an ATT card; and that once I put a different SIM card in, that will change and it will work fine?

It's for a trip overseas, so I can't really test it out myself here.

Thanks!

lol its a bit risky to tell, why don't you check the model number? someone must have the model number of the fu US units

If it were an Apple Factory Unlocked iPhone 4. When you purchased the iPhone it should have not come with an AT&T Micro-SIM pre-installed. Also, on the back of the box, there should not be a sticker with the AT&T ICCID number of the Micro-SIM.

Now, about the Settings field. Yes, that is reporting the current network that your iPhone is currently using.
