Does anyone know if fading keys are covered under Apple care ?
My mid2014 MBP has two fading keys - 'c' & 'e', I still have warranty - will they replace them ? (not urgent by any means I'm thinking about the resale value next year sometime)

I didn't have 'fading keys' but I did have issues with MBA keyboards.

One letter - the letter "a" - had become loose and couldn't be soldered down, and another - I have forgotten which - was wobbly; as my MBA was still under Applecare, the entire keyboard was replaced, but I made the journey to a store, rather than deal with this over the phone.

Ok thanks good to know. Yeah I see no point in phoning them I figure they will insist on seeing this in the flesh before answering. Was hoping someone else might have dealt with it already.

ARISE zombie thread!

So 20 months later and I now have the same problem with my S and D keys. Last time around when I was getting the screen replaced under warranty for stain-gate, the repair shop simply replaced the A & C keys for me. This time around, I'm thinking to try to replace them myself - I've seen a video on how to do it and it looks easy enough.

Does anyone know where to buy new keys? A search found me this - but I have never heard of this company:

Any used them - are the reliable ?
