In a Mac box
Using my computer today and it just randomly froze. restarted 3 times and each time it would stall at the loading screen. I booted up into my HDD to do a disk repair and of course, the volume cannot be repaired. This is the second time this has happened so is there a reason? I thought SSDs were supposed to be more reliable than HDDs.

Well yeah SSDs are generally more reliable than HDDs but that doesn't mean that they are immune from failure. Sorry to hear about that though. Looks like you got unlucky.
