iPhone XR Faint slanted lines against white off angle XR?

Just noticed this after a week with the phone it might not be a realistic use case for every day having the phone an inch or two from your eye and tilting it to see this pattern

I had a 7plus that had this going On extreme directly face on

Everything else about my xr unit and display are great uniformity brightness and whites and build I wonder if it’s worth bothering

Also already traded in the good 7plus I had for a partial refund towards purchases ...

Ugh anal retentiveness!

I guess it’s better than a drastic tint shift

Against white looking at the screen up close (like dial pad in phone app) and shifting the angle of the display

I guess it doesn’t matter if others have seen it too. My display is beautiful otherwise

I Just bought an iphone xr and have this problem too. When I slightly tilted the phone, the whole screen covered in a grid of slant vertical lines.
My iphone is from singapore market. At first i thought my phone is broken, my brother’s 6 plus screen look perfect from every angles. So this is normal with all other xr, right?

Yep. Saw it on every floor model, of the few I picked up.

This is bad, I paid a lot of money for this phone, expected a perfect product. Why nobody reviewed iphone xr talk about this Did they take apple’s money or something?
I can’t take this phone to warranty, I regretted my purchase

it took me a week to see it off angle, so i dont think its that big of a deal. so long as it wasnt just my unit, which it isnt

OLED has more problems imo on average
