Considering you can get a 16 g. Refurb, that comes with a new battery and full 1 year warranty from apple for 349, I think a fair price for a used iPad is about 300. I wouldnt pay more than 300, since for 50 bucks over that I can get a warranties one with a new battery from apple direct.

finding someone to sell for that price is the problem am having... i've been on craigslist all day everyone is trying to sell for about 350+ but at that price im thinking i can just go buy one from apple.

Out of stock once again and don't forget about tax. But I agree on the price for used. I just picked up a used 16gb Wifi w/ Apple Case for $250. The guy was getting slacker after slacker and finally was fed up and priced it to move. But I would have paid $300 for the condition it was in and case...

For that price you should buy one from Apple unless they are selling them with a bunch of extras that you would buy anyway. IMHO, in order to buy a used one it would have to be substantially cheaper than a refurb from Apple.

I bought a refurbed 32GB Wifi for a friend for xmas. I was worried it would have a dead pixel or something, but it's been great so far. If you find a used for $300, go for it, you can get AppleCare for not too much more than what tax would be. But, if you can't find one for less than $350, I'd go refurbed.
