Anyone come across one yet? I want my iPad Air 2 cover design for the iPad Pro 9.7", I DO NOT want a case to go over the back - yet it seems every single third party Smart Cover comes with this attached and you can't remove it!

I'm hoping someone in China will just come up with a straight copy of the iPad Air 2 case but with the magnet arranged for the 9.7" Pro, I just hope they make the quality at least on par with Apple's (which isn't exactly ground breaking anyway) because of the copies i've held in the post have been truly grim.

If anyone comes across one online somewhere though (or basically any variant of the Smart Cover that fits better than Apple's latest abomination) please post here!

I've said "fake" because i'm assuming, Apple has a patent on the way the cover attaches which is why every single third party case does something with a back cover.

Either that or they just assume no one on the planet wants a simple smart cover alternative.

I'd love for someone to make an even more premium one than Apple, but I guess thats not going to happen. My experiences with the knock off smart covers that were like the original Apple ones wasn't very good to be honest, they were terrible quality (and yet still fitted better than the new Apple one) and seemed to be price at ludicriously cheap prices on eBay (like £3, with a back and a horrible styles and "screen protector").

But maybe, just maybe there is somewhere i'm not looking - or Apple might go and re-release the Air 2 smart cover with the correct magnets for the iPad Pro...yeah, right.

Sad to see my iPad Air 2 leave now to be honest.
