Okay . . . Multiple posts. But still haven't heard one good justification for believing these are fakes. Yeah, I don't want to believe in an iPhone nano (don't like the idea for some reason.) But give me a REASON to disbelieve these particular pics. I still recall the thread last year showing a black iPhone laying on a keyboard. Lots said "FAKE", with many pointing to proof in Photoshop of how the fake was done. Turned out, in mid July, it matched exactly with the real iPhone 3G case. So, again, don't just tell me it's fake . . . tell me WHY this is fake. M
Gawd, they already did a jailbreak on that thing... Did anyone else notice the back of those iPhones and how out-of-whack the font/letters are in comparison to our 3G iPhones?
I'd prefer they were in coloured* anodised aluminium like the iPod nanos. * perhaps a smaller range of colours might be required though...
To throw more fuel to the fire the proportions on the backside chrome apple are wrong, and the proportions on the menu button is also wrong. Not to mention the apparent lack of buttons. I spent a few hours making a vector out of the iPhone last week, am pretty familiar with how it's supposed to look Edit: Camera also seems a bit too bulky, and the metal ring sticks outward instead of being flush. Edit2: The chrome bezel is supposed to be flush on the front, not so. Edit3: The GUI is all messed up in the proportion department as well, and icon titles are gigantic! Yea I know it's a fake, just pointing out some of the visual reasons I can see.
Since I don't think anybody read the OP or the link: These are known fakes. Actually, the word is counterfeit. You gotta love ol' Asian lawbreaking. I'm betting Apple has some lawyers and investigators hunting down these guys because this is worse than the "Roleks" watches you can buy on the street in New York.
I think we are all aware that they are fake, since it says clearly in the thread title. That is why everyone is criticizing their look. I'm not sure, but since it is in another country I don't think that apple can do anything about it. Does anyone know about this?
Let's just look at the phones a second, the quality of the LCD is poor, yep, that's not a direct reason to show that it's a fake, but look at the font's used, NOTHING like the ones used on the iPhone. Now, lets look at the safari icon, on the last picture that icon CLEARLY says "Services", not Safari. Now look at the phone, then the box they are supposed to come in, the box depicts a 5 icon deep screen, the actually "iPhone" has 4 icons deep.. Keeping up? But as Michael CM1 quite rightly says, and this renders all the other arguements useless anyway.. They're known fakes.
