Fake the iPhone name?

Is it possible to fake the iPhone to show up as a different phone on the network? It's jailbroken.

No, you can never fake or edit the IMEI. Its highly illegal also.

Because on one of my lines I have a 3G and that user never uses the internet. I had it off for a year. Suddenly AT&T sent an SMS saying that he will get charged for the internet.

I know it's under the 2 year agreement, but I thought I could make it so that the system doesn't see the iPhone.
